Applicable Standards
  • YY0018, YY/T0662, ISO 6475, ASTM F543, GB/T 3098.9, GB/T 16823.2, GB/T 16823.3, JJG 269, ISO 16047, ASTM F606, ASTM F1839, JB/T 9370

Torsion testers are used for determining the behavior of materials and structural components when subjected to a twisting force. After the specimen has been fastened in the fixtures, the servo drive rotates it at the specified test speed. The rotation can proceed in a single direction until the specimen breaks, or it can alternate in direction in order to examine torsional fatigue, or it can follow a torque-angle sequence when testing bolts. As the testing takes place, the torsion tester records the torque, the rotation angle, the torsional stiffness, and the bolt preload if required.

Our torsion testers are widely used by manufacturers and research laboratories in the metallurgical, automotive, electronics, and new energy industries to study materials, develop products, and carry out quality inspections according to the relevant GB/T, ISO, or ASTM test method.

Features
  • Torsion testers offer torque resolutions of up to 1/300,000 and measure rotation angles from 0° to 10000°, from slight movement to several complete turns.
  • The servo motor works with either a cycloidal pin gear reducer or a planetary gear reducer to apply torque at a steady speed.
  • Their high-precision linear guide rails keep the test components on the same axis and maintain the parallel alignment required for repeatable measurements.
  • To ensure safer operation, our torsion testers have overload protection and an emergency stop that lets the operator halt the test immediately.
  • Using the test software, operators are able to view the torque-angle curves, process the data which they have collected, and print reports in the format required by the relevant standard.
