Servo-hydraulic universal testing machines use a hydraulic actuator and servo control to apply high forces with precise control. Compared with electromechanical models, servo-hydraulic UTMs can handle higher forces, which are needed to test metals, construction materials, and large structural components. Depending on the fixtures used, they can perform tensile, compression, bending, and shear tests on specimens such as reinforcing bars, fasteners, prestressed steel strands, and concrete.

Our WAW series is available in several configurations, with different actuator positions, frame layouts, and grip types for different testing requirements:

  • WAW-DG/DQ Series: The actuator is mounted at the top of the frame, and hydraulic wedge grips hold the specimen during testing. WAW-DG models are mainly intended for tensile tests on prestressed steel strands.
  • WAW-DJ Series: These models also have a top-mounted actuator but use hydraulic parallel grips to hold the specimen.
  • WAW-G Series: The bottom-mounted actuator and dual-space frame provide separate areas for different test methods. Hydraulic wedge grips support tensile testing of prestressed steel strands.
  • WAW-Q Series: These models have a bottom-mounted actuator, a dual-space frame, and hydraulic wedge grips for tensile and compression testing.
  • WAW-W Series: Equipped with a bottom-mounted actuator with a dual-space frame and hydraulic wedge grips for heavy-duty testing.
